Azure Well-Architected Review Services in the UAE & USA
Skytech Enterprise reviews your Azure environment against the five pillars of the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework and hands back a prioritized remediation backlog. It is a low-commitment first engagement that turns a cost overrun, an outage or an audit finding into a clear plan, for organizations in Dubai, across the UAE and throughout the United States.
Azure Well-Architected Review at a glance
Who this is for
Cloud Architects, CTOs and IT Directors who inherited an Azure estate, or whose Azure bill, uptime or audit results no longer match expectations.
When you need this
Azure cost overrun, an outage or performance incident, an audit or compliance finding, a security concern, or before committing to a larger migration or modernization programme.
Delivery model
Fixed-price assessment delivered remotely in 2 to 3 weeks. Deliverable: a scored report across the five pillars plus a prioritized remediation backlog with effort and impact per item. Low commitment, and it produces the roadmap for everything that follows.
What is included in our Azure Well-Architected Review
Your environment assessed against all five pillars, with findings you can action:
- Reliability – availability zones, redundancy, backup and recovery objectives, single points of failure and disaster recovery readiness.
- Security – identity and access, network exposure, secret management, Defender for Cloud posture and CSPM findings.
- Cost optimization – orphaned and oversized resources, missing reservations, Azure Hybrid Benefit gaps and a quantified savings list.
- Operational excellence – monitoring and alerting coverage, infrastructure as code maturity, deployment practice and runbooks.
- Performance efficiency – sizing, scaling design, storage and database tiers, and latency against your regions and users.
- Governance review – management group structure, Azure Policy coverage, tagging and governance gaps.
- Scored report – findings rated by risk and effort, with evidence per item.
- Remediation backlog – a prioritized plan, costed, that your team or ours can execute.
- Executive readout – a session for leadership covering risk, cost and the recommended sequence.
How the Well-Architected Review works
- Access and discovery – read-only access to your subscriptions; automated collection of configuration, cost and posture data.
- Workshops – short sessions with your architects and operations team on each pillar, covering intent as well as configuration.
- Analysis – findings scored against Well-Architected Framework guidance and your own availability, cost and compliance targets.
- Report and readout – scored report, quantified savings and a prioritized backlog, presented to technical and executive audiences.
- Remediation (optional) – we execute the backlog, or support your team while they do, starting with the highest-risk items.
Why choose Skytech Enterprise for your Azure review
- Low-commitment, fixed-price assessment that produces a usable backlog, not a sales document.
- Security pillar assessed by a cybersecurity company, with findings mapped to ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and UAE requirements.
- Cost findings quantified in your currency and your consumption, so savings are provable.
- Independent of the remediation: you can take the backlog to your own team.
- A natural first step before an Azure landing zone, migration or modernization programme.
Related Azure and security services
The review usually leads into one of these:
- Azure Landing Zone – rebuild the foundation the review found missing.
- Azure FinOps – turn the cost findings into sustained savings.
- Azure Governance – close the policy and tagging gaps.
- Cloud Security Assessment – a deeper look at the security pillar.
- Disaster Recovery – fix the reliability findings.
- Application Modernization – address performance and cost at the application layer.
- Azure Managed Support – keep the estate healthy after remediation.
Azure Well-Architected Review FAQs
What UAE and US cloud teams ask before booking an Azure assessment.
What is the Azure Well-Architected Framework?
It is Microsoft’s set of design principles for workloads on Azure, organized into five pillars: reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence and performance efficiency. A Well-Architected Review scores your environment against those pillars and identifies where it falls short.
How long does the review take?
Two to three weeks from access being granted: roughly one week of data collection and workshops, one week of analysis, then the report and readout. It does not interrupt your environment, since access is read-only.
What access do you need?
Read-only Reader and Security Reader roles across the subscriptions in scope, plus Cost Management read access. We do not need write access, and we make no changes during the assessment.
What do we actually receive?
A scored report across all five pillars with evidence per finding, a quantified cost-savings list, a prioritized remediation backlog with effort and impact, and an executive readout session. The backlog is yours to execute with any partner.
How much Azure cost can a review typically recover?
It varies with the estate. The common wins are orphaned disks and IPs, oversized VMs and databases, missing reservations and unclaimed Azure Hybrid Benefit. We quantify every item against your actual consumption rather than quoting a percentage.
Is this useful if our Azure environment is small?
Yes, and it is cheaper to fix a small estate. A review before you scale prevents the governance, cost and reliability problems that are expensive to unwind once dozens of workloads depend on them.
Do we have to use you for the remediation?
No. The backlog is written so your own team or another partner can execute it. We are happy to deliver it, but the assessment stands alone.
Does the review cover compliance requirements?
Yes. Security and governance findings are mapped to the frameworks you are held to, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and UAE regulatory requirements, so the backlog doubles as audit evidence of remediation.
