What is the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0?

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework is a voluntary framework published by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology to help organizations understand and reduce cyber risk. Version 2.0, released in February 2024, organizes outcomes into six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. It applies to organizations of any size and sector, inside and outside the United States.

A NIST CSF gap assessment compares your current profile with a target profile and identifies the actions needed to close the gap.

What our NIST CSF assessment includes

  • Current profile – maturity scoring for each CSF 2.0 function and category.
  • Target profile – agreed target maturity based on your risk appetite, sector and obligations.
  • Evidence-based review – interviews plus technical checks in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoints and cloud.
  • Gap analysis – prioritized gaps with risk impact.
  • Roadmap – sequenced initiatives with effort, cost range and owners.
  • Executive report – board-ready summary with visual maturity scores.
  • Framework mapping – where useful, mapping to ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA or UAE requirements.
