Azure Landing Zone Services in the UAE & USA
Skytech Enterprise builds secure, governed Azure landing zones using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, so your first production workload lands on a foundation that scales. We design identity, networking, policy and cost controls for organizations in Dubai, across the UAE and throughout the United States.
Azure landing zone at a glance
Who this is for
Cloud Architects, CTOs and IT Directors moving their first production workload to Azure, or fixing a subscription sprawl that grew without governance.
When you need this
First production workload, a governance or audit failure, uncontrolled Azure spend, a merger that added subscriptions, or before a server migration at scale.
Delivery model
Fixed-scope project delivered remotely into your Azure tenant, built on Microsoft enterprise-scale landing zone patterns, with handover documentation and optional managed Azure support.
What is included in our Azure landing zone service
A production-ready foundation, not a sandbox. Typical scope:
- Management group and subscription design – a hierarchy that separates platform, production and non-production workloads cleanly.
- Identity and access – Entra ID design, RBAC model, privileged access and access reviews.
- Network topology – hub-and-spoke or Virtual WAN, firewall, private endpoints, DNS and ExpressRoute or VPN to on-premises.
- Policy and governance – Azure Policy initiatives, naming and tagging standards, resource locks and ongoing governance.
- Security baseline – Defender for Cloud, CSPM, Key Vault, encryption and log retention.
- Monitoring and logging – Log Analytics workspace design, diagnostic settings and Microsoft Sentinel integration.
- Cost management – budgets, alerts, tagging for chargeback and a FinOps starting point.
- Infrastructure as code – Bicep or Terraform modules and a deployment pipeline, so the landing zone is repeatable.
- Handover – architecture documentation, runbooks and admin enablement sessions.
Our Azure landing zone implementation process
- Discovery – workloads, compliance requirements (UAE PDPL, NESA, HIPAA, SOC 2), regions and connectivity needs.
- Design – management group hierarchy, network topology, identity model, policy set and cost model documented and signed off.
- Build – landing zone deployed as code, with platform and workload subscriptions created.
- Validate – a pilot workload is deployed into the landing zone to prove policy, connectivity and monitoring.
- Hand over – documentation, IaC repository, enablement sessions and an optional managed support transition.
Why choose Skytech Enterprise for your Azure landing zone
- Built to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework enterprise-scale patterns, not an ad-hoc resource group.
- Security and governance designed in by a cybersecurity company, so audits do not reopen the architecture later.
- Region and data-residency planning for UAE North and US regions on the same tenant.
- Everything delivered as infrastructure as code, so your team can extend it without us.
- One partner for the landing zone, migration and ongoing Azure operations.
Related Azure and cloud services
A landing zone is usually the first step in a wider programme:
- Server to Azure Migration – move workloads onto the new foundation.
- Application Modernization – refactor apps for PaaS and containers.
- Azure Well-Architected Review – assess an existing Azure estate before rebuilding.
- Cloud Security Assessment – validate the security of your Azure environment.
- Azure Governance – keep policy and tagging compliant over time.
- Azure FinOps – control and forecast Azure spend.
- Azure Managed Support – day-two operations after handover.
Azure landing zone FAQs
What UAE and US cloud teams ask before building an Azure foundation.
What is an Azure landing zone?
An Azure landing zone is a pre-configured, governed environment for your cloud workloads. It covers management groups, subscriptions, identity, networking, policy, security and monitoring, built to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework patterns so new workloads inherit the right controls automatically.
Do we need a landing zone if we only have a few VMs in Azure?
If Azure will hold production workloads, yes. Without a landing zone, subscriptions, networks and permissions grow ad hoc and become expensive to untangle. Building the foundation first is far cheaper than retrofitting governance after an audit finding.
How long does an Azure landing zone take to build?
A standard enterprise-scale landing zone is typically delivered in 3 to 6 weeks, including design workshops, deployment as code and a pilot workload. Complex hybrid connectivity or multi-region designs extend this.
Can the landing zone keep data in the UAE?
Yes. Workload subscriptions and resources are deployed into UAE North or UAE Central for UAE data residency, with US regions used for US workloads, and policy enforcing allowed locations so nothing is deployed outside them.
Do you deliver the landing zone as code?
Yes. We deploy using Bicep or Terraform and hand over the repository and pipeline, so your team can extend or redeploy the environment without depending on us.
We already have Azure subscriptions. Can you fix them instead of starting over?
Usually, yes. We start with an Azure Well-Architected Review, then bring existing subscriptions under a new management group hierarchy, apply policy progressively and remediate the highest-risk gaps first, rather than rebuilding everything.
How does a landing zone help control Azure cost?
Tagging standards, budgets, alerts and policy restrictions on SKUs and regions are set from day one, which makes spend attributable per team or project and prevents the oversized resources that drive most Azure overspend.
