What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 is an attestation report, developed by the AICPA, that evaluates a service organization’s controls against the Trust Services Criteria: Security (required), plus optional Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity and Privacy. A Type 1 report assesses control design at a point in time; a Type 2 report tests operating effectiveness over a period, usually 3 to 12 months.
Important: SOC 2 reports are issued only by independent licensed CPA firms. Skytech Enterprise provides readiness, control implementation and evidence preparation; we do not issue SOC 2 reports.

Does Skytech Enterprise issue SOC 2 reports?
No. SOC 2 reports can only be issued by an independent licensed CPA firm. We prepare your organization for the audit and support you during it.
What is the difference between SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2?
Type 1 evaluates whether controls are suitably designed at a single point in time. Type 2 tests whether those controls operated effectively over a review period, typically 3 to 12 months.
How long does SOC 2 readiness take?
Readiness usually takes 2 to 6 months depending on your starting maturity. A Type 2 report then requires an observation period before the auditor can issue it.
Which Trust Services Criteria do we need?
Security is required. Add Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity or Privacy based on what your customers rely on and what you commit to in contracts.
Is SOC 2 required in the UAE?
SOC 2 is a US attestation and is not a UAE legal requirement, but UAE companies selling to US enterprises are frequently asked for it.
Can SOC 2 and ISO 27001 be done together?
Yes. The control sets overlap significantly, so one programme can prepare evidence for both.
