Windows 11 migration at a glance
Who this is for
IT Directors and IT Managers still running Windows 10 on part or all of the fleet, or facing Extended Security Update bills, audit findings or cyber-insurance questions about unsupported operating systems.
When you need this
Windows 10 end of support, Extended Security Updates renewal, a hardware refresh, compliance or cyber-insurance requirements, or a wider move to Intune and modern management.
Delivery model
Fully remote project: hardware-eligibility assessment, ring design, Intune and Windows Autopatch configuration, phased upgrade waves and a decommissioning plan for ineligible devices.
What is included in our Windows 11 migration service
A planned, measured upgrade rather than a big-bang push:
- Hardware-eligibility assessment – TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, CPU and storage checks across every device using Intune or Endpoint Analytics reporting.
- Application and driver compatibility – App Assure, driver and firmware readiness, and remediation for line-of-business apps.
- Fleet strategy – upgrade in place, replace through Autopilot, move to Windows 365, or time-limited Extended Security Updates for the last few devices.
- Ring design – pilot, early adopter and broad deployment rings with Windows Update for Business or Windows Autopatch.
- Security baseline – Windows 11 security baseline, BitLocker, Windows Hello for Business and Defender for Endpoint applied during the upgrade.
- User readiness – communications, quick guides for the Windows 11 interface and a help-desk playbook.
- Reporting – progress dashboards and compliance evidence that no unsupported Windows remains.
- Decommissioning – secure wipe and disposal or redeployment plan for ineligible hardware.
Our Windows 11 migration process
- Assess – full inventory, eligibility report, app compatibility and a per-device recommendation.
- Plan – rings, waves by site or department, hardware orders and ESU exceptions agreed.
- Prepare – Intune policies, Autopatch, images and Autopilot profiles ready; pilot ring upgraded.
- Migrate in waves – in-place upgrades scheduled off-hours; replacements shipped through Autopilot.
- Close out – reporting, ESU retirement dates, decommissioning and hypercare.

Windows 11 migration FAQs
What UAE and US organizations ask now that Windows 10 is out of support.
What happens now that Windows 10 is out of support?
Since 14 October 2025, Windows 10 no longer receives free security updates. Devices keep working but become increasingly exposed to vulnerabilities, and many auditors, regulators and cyber-insurers treat unsupported operating systems as a compliance failure.
Can we buy Extended Security Updates instead of migrating?
Yes, for a limited time. Business ESU runs for up to three years to October 2028, with the per-device price roughly doubling each year and no option to skip earlier years. It is a bridge for the few devices that cannot move yet, not a replacement for migration.
Which devices can run Windows 11?
Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, a supported 64-bit CPU, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. Most devices bought from 2019 onward qualify; our assessment reports eligibility per device so you only replace what you must.
How long does a Windows 11 migration take?
For up to 300 eligible devices, a remote migration typically completes in 4 to 8 weeks using rings and off-hours in-place upgrades. Fleets that need hardware replacement are phased around delivery lead times.
Will users lose files or settings during the upgrade?
No. In-place upgrades keep apps, files and settings. For replaced devices, OneDrive Known Folder Move and Autopilot restore the user experience on the new hardware.
What about devices that are not eligible?
Options include replacement via Autopilot, a Windows 365 Cloud PC so the old device becomes a thin client, or a short ESU bridge with a fixed retirement date. We recommend per device in the assessment.
Do you need to visit our offices?
No. Assessment, policy build, upgrades and reporting are all delivered remotely through Intune and Windows Autopatch, which suits distributed UAE and US teams.
